About UKM University
UKM University Malaysia also known as the National University of Malaysia was established on May 18, 1970. UKM began operating from Lemba Pantai, Kuala Lumpur in 1970, and in October 1977, it moved to its current location in Pangi, a 1,096-hectare green valley. The university has 13 faculties and 16 research institutes, offering a wide range of academic programs in the arts and sciences, and is home to 2,262 academics and 7,519 support staff. In keeping with its motto “Inspiring futures, incubating possibilities” the university attracts international students by offering 170 postgraduate programs and high-tech research facilities. Education in public universities in Malaysia including Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) is highly supported by the government.
